Walking and Jogging clubs
The Malta Exercise Health and Fitness association along with the Malta Sport Council are running the walking and jogging clubs. The two clubs are held at the St.Ignatius college track secondary school Qormi ( Tal-Handaq) and also at St.Benedict College Kirkop. The walking and jogging will be done on well surfaced tracks and some other exercises to target the whole body will also be included.
The walking coaches will take you from a simple 20 mins program to a full 1 hour program as you progress. For all those who would like to join the walking and jogging clubs but cannot attend Saturday mornings the alternative is to register for FREE in the MEHFA website www.mehfa.eu and get information through the online personal trainer. There are ready made programs on the website for the general public who are apparently healthy. The idea behind the sessions on Saturday is to create a group for support for all those who would like to walk with someone else and also to get technical advice on walking and jogging.
The MEHFA website will also help you through Calculators to get to know your own personal fat percentage. All the general public can get further help through the MEHFA walking coaches in order to design a weight loss program. The intention s to have all those who desire to be weighed and get their fat percentage calculated and to see after every month the improvement done to their fat percentage. Altough sometimes the weight might remain the same the fat percentage will become less- and after all walking and jogging have HEALTH as a first major objective.
